MEST4 Linked production: Research and Planning

The key conventions that we will be taking from the clips is the theme of using shapeshifing as a way to identify a shapeshifter. In all three scene you can see how the shapeshifter acts different in comparison to the original person which will be a key part in our linked production. Also the dialogue coming from these characters is also a key part in these clips due to seeing how they can't recognise the important people

I've also included a scene Law Abiding Citizen because it's a very important scene in relation to our linked production. One of the key scenes in our production is when the main protagonist has a flashback to when they are experimenting on the shapeshifer and as a result this leads to the shapeshifter going crazy on the table while he is striped in and this is way this scene is very important due to how we can kinda recreate it and tailor it to our production as well.

The best case scenario will be everything researched and planned out cast sorted I would like to start recording as soon as next week Wednesday (10/02/16) this so that we could do the bulk of the scenes we need in Wednesday's lesson and on Friday's lesson edit what we have so that going into half term we would have a very good base to work with having clips that are already edited and also having half term to record the rest of the clip we need and also editing them during the break as well. However it may depend on the availability of our actors.

Script

Protagonist (Sarah) is waking up disorientated watching the shape shifter get away.

Her alarm clock beings to ring. She stops the alarm and sits up on her bed looking troubled and disturbed. She gets her voice recorder and begins to document…

She enters the bathroom where she starts to wash

She enters the kitchen and starts to drink water

Sarah: Its been 133 days since our testing and 86 since since Project 001 escaped the isolation unit, and there has been no progress in retrieving him.

Flashback: Project 001 in a ward bound by chains being tested and being injected

Sarah: It has been 34 days since my last sighting of Project 001. I’ve been trying to gain contact with base but my communicator was destroyed in the events of the fall. I have found residence in the outskirts of the city that keeps me warm and dry but…                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

Draws a picture from her pocket of her parents

Sarah: I must remain focused on my assignment. Project 001 remains loose on the streets and I have accepted it as my duty to contain the exile for the preservation of humanity.
